Well Fever started the new year with a solid win. What was more remarkable was that we actually had 10 players and didn’t need to borrow.
The match highlights included:-
- Some amazing base running which won us the match – their fielders were under so much pressure
- An almost home run by Deb – tagged when sliding into home plate
- Wonderful hitting by most of the team
- The positive energy everyone showed in the heat
- Jane M & Jen pitching so well in the heat
- Jane Z & Sab catching so well with all that gear on in the heat
- Welcoming back Jane Z, Jane M, Kelly & Jeanne from injury - we still have Belinda injured unfortunately
- TC & Bernie’s scoring & coaching support
- Shelby informing us of her engagement to Chris – very excited for you both
The key for us now is to become more consistent so we can challenge the competition leaders. I’m sure we can do it.
