Welcome to the Official Giants Softball Club Inc. Website!

About Us

Founded in 1985 by a small group of local women as a junior club and named sarcastically for the size of its' inaugural players, Giants has outlasted many other clubs in the Gawler & Districts Softball Association and has outperformed many as well - in some seasons we have won premierships in every division available. Many of our players and coaches have gone on to compete at elite levels representing our district as well as our state. Our coaches have experience and knowledge to pass on, but above all Giants are a friendly, fun club with a family atmosphere and an emphasis on good softball.

We enjoy a very close relationship with the Gawler Rangers Baseball Club, allowing a pathway for boys who start with us to go further as they get older.  It is also an opportunity for extra game time as the juniors play on opposite days and can, therefore, participate in softball on Saturdays and baseball on Sundays.

We enter teams into the local tee-ball competition as a way for the little ones who aren't quite ready for softball to get involved.  They have tonnes of fun and we love watching them learn.  Junior development is the most important thing to us and we offer specialist training as well as visits from players who have represented the State and National teams, to inspire and motivate our kids.

Please feel free to browse through our website. We look forward to you and your family's involvement in our club.
