We have received advice from Stonnington Council that, "As of Monday 23 March and until Monday 13 April, all City of Stonnington sporting facilities will be closed for club based activities. This includes training and competition / matches. Pavilions will also be closed as gatherings of sporting clubs are classified as non-essential."
Please see the full communication from Stonnington Council linked here.
This means that from Monday all training and other activities at the club will be postponed until 13 April. We have informed Lacrosse Victoria of this advice. Lacrosse Victoria is monitoring the situation and will be posting regular updates to their website - we will continue to communicate any advice from LV directly to our club members as well.
While training has been called off for now, there are still plenty of things we can do individually.
- Pick up that stick and hit that wall! Wall-ball is a great way to improve your stick skills
- Practice those stick tricks - please feel free to share these on social media and tag CLC in. Let's get a little competitive fun going!
- Lace up and get some km's on those legs, let's make sure this continues to be the fastest sport on two feet
While we all do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19, let's all do our part to keep up our lacrosse skills and keep our club strong!
