It was line ball whether the games were going to proceed or have penalty shoot out to decide all positions.
Luckily for most players and organisers the temperature did not venture over 35C, as Bendigo Lacrosse Association Policy is that the games would have been cancelled if the temperature was 36C or higher.
Due to the high temperature the games were modified to 7 minute periods with 7 minutes rest between periods played.

Cheyenne and the Sioux Warriors were battling out of third and forth position. These were the team fighting out the premiership last season. During the season and final series these teams had players away and struggled to field the same team every week.
However, this final they were equally balanced and it showed with the scores at the end of the first quarter favouring the Cheyenne 3 goals to the Sioux 2. In the second quarter there was no difference as both teams shot 3 goals each. The Cheyenne were winning most of the centres but the Sioux's defence kept them honest on the scoreboard. Sioux Warriors were one goal up starting the final period.
There were some brilliant passing by the Sioux to score a couple of goals but the Cheyenne would not let this slip and placed three goals to run out the game 9 goals to 7.

The Cherokee were up against the very strong Navajo team, but the festive season has taken a toll on the Navajo tribe. As the previous game, it was a very tight with both teams having even possession. The score at the end of the first period was 2 goals to one in favour of the Cherokee. However, during the second period the Navajo fought back to even the scores at 4 goals apiece.
The back line for both teams was standing up strong and the centres were evenly matched for both teams. The Navajo forward line was very impressive but the Cherokee's midfield and centre held the aces by combining well to score the only two goals in the final period. The Cherokee first in front by defeating Navajo 6 gaols to 4.
