Chittering Broncos maintaining fun, development and sportsmanship
From the President’s Desk
After such a fantastic season it’s important to highlight some of the great work the club has been achieving this year.
We are very fortunate to have many hard working volunteers. Our new dugouts and disabled footpath are definitely great achievements this season. I acknowledge the efforts of Alan Nairn for securing the funding and I also highlight Arlene Carters involvement on the Chittering Shire’s behalf. We are fortunate to have a Local Government that is supportive of not only our club but sport in general throughout the Shire.
The result of a fantastic Auskick season is on the back of our highest registrations on record. An awesome achievement. One of the many highlights of the year was the opportunity for our Auskickers to play at half time during the Afl at Patersons Stadium. Definitely a great day for the kids .
Our junior and youth season progressed well. It’s important that we give our players every opportunity to develop as players and as young people. Essentially a player should be having fun for them to enjoy sport.
You may have noticed several signs around the club noting respect. I’m a believer that having respect is a necessity in life. Along with providing youth programs here at Chittering we invited a guest speaker who spoke about dealing with social issues and the social media aspect that is now so well used. It is vitally important our club is proactive in these areas .
It is important to acknowledge all our wonderful parents who once again give the children the opportunity to play footy at the Broncos. Your support on and off the field this season is so valuable. From the kids, thankyou.
Our website www.chitteringjfc.sportingpulse. net is a hub of information. Take a look at our news page and explore the great work that has occurred on and off the field. We have a lot to be proud of. These achievements could not be possible without the dedication of hard working volunteers.
Given the uncertainty of the economy in our state, our sponsorship team have been very successful with a very productive list of sponsors. It’s important that we continue to acknowledge the support of our local and corporate businesses.
In 2015 Alan Nairn, Mick Jacks and I intend to meet with local government to secure a funding commitment for the construction of our proposed undercover area. The undercover area has been long overdue and a work in progress over the past twelve months.
It would be fantastic to have your support at the AGM on the 8th of December. To ensure the current executive can fulfil the planning they have in place for 2015 it is vital that you attend the AGM. Along with your support we can maintain the sponsorship base we currently have, maintain our Gold accreditation status, continue our All Abilities Program and fulfill the aim of our Indigenous Pathways.
Your executive committee have dedicated many hours this season. Your support will ensure that our vision for the club is maintained. The Chittering Junior Football Club is in a strong financial position in the district and with continued reinvigoration the future for Chittering looks fantastic.
We look forward to your support on the 8th of December.
