The Swans DFDC in conjunction with 1Life , Progress Developments, WAFC and WA Police intend to develop a program aimed at preparing future leaders.
The program is designed to provide teenage youth acces to junior community pathways in the Swans District through the delivery of a series of profesional development sessions. These sessions will seek to provide the necessary life skills to succeed as leaders in their respective communities .
The program will combine practical and theory sessions with elements of team building, mental health, youth crime and consequences, nutrional awareness, mentoring and leadership.
The program provides participants with leadership skills and knowledge to be able to be the difference in their communities and make a positive impact on their peers. Those selected will gain a one in a lifetime opportunity to work with leaders from both withing and outside the football wrold to extend their leadership skills.
