Chittering JFC have cantered to the next stage of the Quality Club Program, becoming only the second club in the Swans District to secure gold level accreditation. The gold level accreditation recognises exceptional club administration and strategies in relation to racial and religious tolerance, people with a disability, risk management, volunteer recognition, strategic planning and community development.
The Broncos have quickly progressed to become one of the leading clubs in the Swans District and have continued their impressive form with the development of a 6 week all abilities Auskick program for kids aged five to twelve. The program provides kids of all abilities with the chance to connect to NAB AFL Auskick through the delivery of a series of game-based drills aimed at improving skills and promoting self-esteem.
This program is just one example of the benefits Chittering JFC provides to the broader community and its initiatives such as this which has made Chittering JFC a club of choice in the Swans District. The gold level accreditation has also heightened the professionalism of Chittering JFC resulting in a healthy increase in Year 8 and Year 12 players. The success of Chittering JFC can no doubt be traced back to the hard work of their dedicated stable of volunteers.
Swans District Manager, Isaac Stewart said the success of Chittering JFC is a direct result of the hours of dedication shown by the Chittering JFC Executive Committee. “The acclaim associated with the gold level accreditation should be attributed to the admirable commitment of volunteers such as Chittering JFC President, Ian Hall and Secretary, Alan Nairn, whose dedication to the cause has enhanced the profile of Chittering JFC,” said Stewart.
Chittering JFC President, Ian Hall said the gold level accreditation sets the scene for a bright future at Chittering JFC. “The gold level accreditation recognises Chittering JFC’s active involvement in the broader community and highlights that we’re going in the right direction in terms of our administrative and coaching practices. We hope this will attract more kids to become part of an exciting future at Chittering JFC,” said Hall.
