Eastlake Demons Home Games
To Members, Parents and Supporters,
With the latest easing of COVID -19 Government restrictions within the ACT, you may have noticed that community football is now able to allow 100 spectators (outside of players / officials) to attend games.
I am writing to let you know that the Eastlake Football Committee have met to consider how best to manage this issue in relation to Eastlake home games at Football Park for the remainder of the 2020 season.
The Eastlake Football Committee took into account a number of considerations when determining how Eastlake home games would be structured and managed for the remainder of the 2020 season, and have concluded that priority should be given to enabling players of both clubs to remain in the venue to support the rest of their club and their peers. With this priority front and centre, coupled with our desire to ensure the safety of all involve and mindful of the Governments capacity limits we are unable therefore to allow spectators from either club entry to the venue.
The only exception to this will be for the parents of the Rising Stars. This exception is only possible as the Rising Stars are the first game of the day and we are able to manage our 100 person capacity more easily.
The Eastlake Football Committee is extremely cognisant of the fact that people who want to attend the game to support the Eastlake Football Club will be bitterly disappointed. However, we ask you to be understanding in what are abnormal times and that our players want and need to support their fellow club mates.
We strongly encourage you to continue to support the teams of the Eastlake Football Club by viewing the games from outside of the venue at Football Park as you have done to date, and we thank you for this ongoing show of support.
Kind Regards,
Shaun Young
EFC General Manager Football
