Ainslie 1st Division team have defeated Eastlake in their Round 20 NEAFL match on Saturday 13th August at Manuka Oval.
Ainslie opened up with some early goals but Eastlake responded trailing by just 6 points at quarter time. Ainslie were able to open up a 31 point margin at half time after a dominant 2nd quarter when they kicked 6 goals to 2.
The lead was extended to 63 points at 3 quarter time when Ainslie added 7 goals in the quarter. The final margin was 53 points. Nick Paine was outstanding in the forward line kicking 7 goals while David Tow led a very tight defence.
Final score: Ainslie 19.11-125 def Eastlake 11.6-72
The 2nd Division side had a good contest with Eastlake. At half time Ainslie's inaccuracy in front of goal had left them with an 8 point lead although having twice the number of scoring shots. Ainslie opened up a good lead at 3 quarter time of 22 points but to Eastlake's credit they fought back to close the gap with Ainslie running out winners by 16 points.
Final score: Ainslie 11.18-84 def Eastlake 10.8-68
The U18s again had a very comptetive first half but could not maintain it and in the end were defeated by 69 points.

The 3rd Division team came up against the strong Harman side and were defeated by 82 points.
Final score: Ainslie 6.11-47 def by Harman 20.9-129
The Womens team had a convincing win over newcomers Queanbeyan to run out winners by 103 points.
