In Season 2008, the Ainslie Football Club will conduct the following programs:
Auskick Rookie
Auskick Rookie is the introductory program for Australian Football with focus on skills, modified activities and providing a fun and safe environment. Package includes a fantastic backpack, footy, hat and drink bottle.
Ainslie will conduct three Auskick Programs throughout 2008 - please refer to article regarding Auskick for dates and times.
Under 8 and Under 9
Previously known as "Clubstart" this program has modified rules providing a fun, participative and safe environment, whilst developing players. Package includes Ainslie jumper to wear for the year, sports bag, football, drink bottle, hat, socks, Sportsman's Warehouse voucher and a Manuka Oval pass to AFL games.
Trainings: Ainslie Oval, 4.30pm - 5.30pm Wednesdays - first training Wednesday, 9th April. Practice match Saturday, 12th April. Round 1 AFL Canberra Junior League Saturday, 3rd May.
Games: North Canberra, 11.30am - 2.30pm Saturdays
Under 10 - Under 11
Modified rules (expanded from U8 & U9) providing a fun, participative and safe environment whilst developing and extending players. Package includes jumper to wear for the year, drink bottle, socks, training t-shirt, Sportsman's Warehouse voucher and Manuka Oval pass to AFL games.
Trainings: Ainslie Oval, 4.30pm - 5.30pm (U11 4.45pm - 5.45pm) Wednesdays - first training Wednesday, 9th April. Practice match Saturday, 12th April. Round 1 AFL Canberra Junior League Saturday, 3rd May.
Games: ACT wide, U11 10.45am, U10 9.15am
Under 12 - Under 16
Competition rules for lots of fun and participation for all players. Package includes Ainslie jumper to wear for the year, drink bottle, socks, training t-shirt and a Sportsman's Warehouse voucher plus more!

Coaching and Umpiring Cadetships
The AFC will train and develop players who are interested in learning more about the game through coaching and umpiring. Players will receive Certificate, shirt, socks, drink bottle, whistle, Level O Coaching Accreditation and Basic Umpiring accreditation
Program commencement: April 2008
All players also receive:
- Coaching by accredited coaching staff
- Jumper presentation snacks and drinks
- Presentation night function with free snacks and drinks.
- Every player from Under 8s to Under 11s will receive a "Participation trophy" and every player from Under 12s to Under 16s will receive a "Participation medal".
- Team trophies such as "Best Skills", "Most Valuable Player" will also be awarded.

Simply fill out the enclosed registration form and hand it to AFC staff on Registration Day for your chance to win. Club Shorts
Club shortsare to be worn when playing in competition games. These will be available for purchase on Registration Day for a cost of $20.00.
Boot Pool
The AFC has agreat range of football boots, which will be available on Registration Day. If you have a pair of good, clean boots that you would like to donate to the Boot Pool, please bring them along on the day.
Merchandise
Due to popular demand, a range of official AFC merchandise will be available for purchase throughout the season.
Team Trips
The Under 10s and Under 12s will go to Sydney this year to watch the Swans play at either the SCG or the Telstra Stadium. This is a Full Day event.
The Under 14s and Under 16s teams will go to Melbourne for a weekend trip during the July school holidays. We plan that these players will view some AFL training sessions and a couple of games at the MCG and Telstra Dome - this trip will be fantastic. (Last year these teams were lucky enough to meet James Hird).
Code of Conduct
To register to play with the AFC in the AFL Canberra Competition, all players, coaches, officials and parents must read and agree to abide by the AFL Canberra Code of Conduct. A copy of this document is available on both the AFC and AFL Canberra's website.

NB: The AFC strives to retain registration fees at a minimum. As a result of increases in insurance, ground hire and AFL Canberra Affiliation Fees in 2008, it has been necessary to increase AFC's fees. Assistance with fundraising activities throughout the year will assist greatly in keeping fees at a minimum.
