More than 600 players registered with WMFC before the season was suspended. This page provides generic advice about the partial refund process that is applicable to most players.

On 26 June, Capital Football announced the partial refund process for players who registered and paid for the 2020 winter season prior to the suspension of football.

The partial refund process is being managed by Capital Football and detailed information is available on their website.

It is important that you read this page and the Capital Football information.

Can I get a refund?

WMFC players who registered and paid prior to the suspension of football are eligible for a refund.

To claim a refund you must apply for one between 29 June and 18 July.

How much refund will I receive?

Capital Football and WMFC have both reduced our fees due to the shorter season. You can claim both parts of the refund, or elect to receive the only the Capital Football component and donate the WMFC component back to the club.

The table below shows the refund components you are eligible for depending on your registration type. Claiming a full refund will mean that you have paid the same amount as people who registered after the fee reduction in June.

Please note that we are aware of issues that may affect the refund process or the amount of refund available for some players. Affected players will be sent more information by email.

What if I don't want a refund?

There is no need to do anything. WMFC and Capital Football will keep the funds you originally paid.

Can I carry my refund forward to next season?

No. You must use the refund process and apply by 18 July to obtain the refund.
