good following of supporters of both teams in attendance, and the match was well patronised by followers of the game at Wynyard.
The Yeoman players were quickest to find their feet, and had much the best of things up till half time, when the scoring board read: Yeoman, 3.9, Myalla, 1.1. After the half-time interval Myalla made a determined rally, and playing a hard game right to the finish, had Yeoman fully extended. During the last quarter, Myalla got to within six points of Yeoman's score, but the latter rallied, and eventually won a well contested game by 14 points.
Ern Alderson as field umpire controlled the game well. The standard of play was much above the average and was the best junior game seen at Wynyard for some time.
A medal for the best and cleanest player on the day was awarded to Ernie Wells, of Myalla, who roved in fine style and always made good use of the ball. Others who played well for Myalla were H. Moles, Crisp, King (3), Coleman, L. Bramich and Williams. For Yeoman the best were Pegus, Haywood, Clark, Webb, Gale, A.Bramich and Marriott (2).
Yeoman went through the season without a defeat, and has now won the Table Cape Shield three seasons in succession and become the permanent holders.
