Welcome once again this year to the YCW Beagle Boys who have been going well. Can we Pythons burst their bubble or is it a force field. If our Snrs think that they have any chance of a good finals campaign it must start now, yes today. It has always been, since 1964, a hard day at Lloyd Park and last week was no exception for our Snrs who even though keeping the Langaroos goal-less in the first term kept in front and managed to slog it out to a 25 pt win. Every win counts now. Shaun White was sharp with 5 goals and ‘Crash’ was well in it too with 3 of our 13 kicked. Shaun is current team lgk with 35. We still have to face two of the current final five teams after today but then so do Chel and YCW so it’s going to go down to the wire this year. Reserves were slashed by 7 goals and their chances of finals now look awkward. Ramma enhanced his chances of being League LGK with 3 goals. He now has 22 on the board. Thirds battled their hearts out again and each one of them is deserving of a trophy at season’s end. Well done today to David Marguglio playing in his 50th Snr game. Dave has only missed one game since he started with us in 2008, he did not play here last year. He has a career total of 19 goals. Oops, that win over BB (Rd 13) was by 80 pts not 78 as previously shown. Two known mistakes so far this year now sees me on thin ice. Welcome to the ladies at their luncheon today, hope you have a good time. Escorted tours around the club are available. There should be good fun for all at the 80’s Dress Up night on 13 Aug, next week. Yeah, let’s do the time warp again. Mullet hairstyles will be the go and Gordo can assist with dress style of the era. Entry fee is set at a 1980’s cost of only $10. Presentation night is 30 Sept, see Adele for your mandatory bookings.
