We have been advised by the FWB Referees Chairman of a number of Law changes
which come into effect for the 2013 season.

 

Law 1 Field of Play ADD        "on the ground advertising shall be at least
1m from the boundary lines of the field of play"

"Upright advertising shall be at least: 1m from the touch lines of the field
of play and the same distance from the goal line as the depth of the goal
net and 1m    

  from the goal net".

Law 3 The Number of Players. If a named substitute enters the field of play
instead of a named player at the start of the match and the referee is not
informed of this change:

i.                     The referee allows the named substitute to continue
the match

ii.                   No disciplinary sanction is taken against the named
substitute

iii.                  The number of substitutions allowed by the offending
team is not reduced

iv.                 The referee reports the incident to the appropriate
authorities.

Law 4 The Players Equipment ADD - stockings - if tape or similar material is
applied externally it MUST be the same colour as that part of the stocking
it is

 
applied to.

 Headscarf -

i.   be of the same colour as the jersey

ii.   be in keeping with the professional appearance of the players equipment

 
iii.   not attached to the jersey

iv. not pose any danger to the player wearing it or any other player
(e.g. opening/closing mechanism around neck)

v...only be worn by female players

Law 8 - The Start and Restart of Play ADD Infringements and sanctions. The
ball is dropped again:. If the ball enters the goal:

i.                     If a dropped ball is kicked directly into the
opponents' goal, a goal kick is awarded

ii.                   If a dropped ball is kicked directly into the team's
own goal, a corner kick is awarded to the opposing team.

Law 12- Fouls and Misconduct, in the text "deliberately and blatantly
handles the ball" DELETE the words "and blatantly" 

 

WILL ALL CLUBS PLEASE NOTIFY THEIR COACHES, MANAGERS AND PLAYERS OF THESE
CHANGES - ESPECIALLY LAW 4 REGARDING TAPE AND HEADSCARVES.
