Carnivals
Outside of Saturday soccer, each year we give children the opportunity to play in a number of carnivals in our region.
There several different carnivals that Goondiwindi teams participate in.
Goondiwindi will nominate teams to compete at the following carnivals:
Inverell Carnival - Sunday
Warwick Carnival - Sunday
Moree Carnival - Sunday
Typically Goondiwindi sends a team of U6, U7, U9 and U11 players and this year we are also taking U13 and U16 to Inverell.
The carnivals are a great day that the kids (and adults!) really enjoy. Typically they will play three games during the day. Initial selections for the teams are made from the Friday night YDP training groups with any additional spots filled by those on the expression of interest list. We also encourage children to go to more than one carnival so a degree of teamwork starts to develop. If interested please nominate as sometimes we can take two teams or add and U8 or U10 team. I would encourage any parents who are interested to contact a member of the committee.
