Holland Park Hawks Coaches , Managers & Members Equipment Information 13/04/2012

Coaches and Managers
Kit Bag consisting of balls, bibs, cones, goalie shirt if applicable.
Please ensure that this kit remains with you for the season and is not left at the club after each use.
All gear is to be returned to the club at the end of the current season. If any gear is damaged or lost
please take what is needed to complete your kit from the gear shed during the season. Any
additional equipment not in your kit may be borrowed from the gear shed but must be returned the
same day. With over 950 players at the club we must ensure that each team has access to ladders,
cones, goals, posts and balls. So please do not keep any additional equipment in your kit bag or take
it from the club.

Pop Up Goals – U6 & U7.
Pop up goals are for use by squirts, U6 and U7 teams and are located in the gear shed 1 behind field
2. Please do not use for older groups as they sustain too much damage. Please ensure they are kept
as a pair and placed in their carry bag after use. To fold up grab each end, twist hands and cross your
arms over across your body. Sounds easy but we do break many. Please discourage children from
jumping on the goals when in the upright position as the goals break at the base and get out of
shape. Goals cost $100 a pair.

Portable Plastic & Metal Goals U8 to U11
Portable goals are for use by the above age groups and are partly assembled and stored in the gear
shed 2 behind field 2. U8 to U9 use the smaller size goals 3m x 2m as marked on the uprights and
bags. U10 to U11 use the 5m x 2m goals as marked on the uprights and bags. U10 and U11 may also
use the permanently assembled aluminium goals which will be locked and stored near field 2. All
plastic goals require the crossbars and nets fitted to the uprights. These are in bags in the gear shed.
The uprights are preassembled and permanently screwed together. Take one bag as marked to each
end of the field and assemble the crossbars and nets. Some uprights are different from others so all
are colour coded in pairs. Use the same coloured upright at both ends of the field. The top of the
nets are marked. Pegs and a hammer are in the bag. Place a peg in each side and two at the rear to
secure the goals in place. Leave the bag behind the goal. When the last games is completed please
disassemble the crossbars only and place in the bag with nets, pegs and hammer and return with
uprights intact to gear shed 2. Please discourage children from climbing on the nets or hanging from
crossbars as the goals may topple, be broken or an injury may occur.

Playing Jerseys if applicable - U12 to Seniors
U12 to Senior Teams are issued with Playing Jerseys, Goalie Shirt and Bibs in a kit bag for the
duration of the season. Please ensure that the complete kit is kept together at all times and no
players are to take an individual jersey home. The jerseys must be washed after each game. Please
do not leave any jerseys in the change room as they are easily mixed up with the next teams. Take all
remaining shirts in the kit bag to the playing area if not in use. Please count all jerseys in your kit rior to leaving the change rooms or at the end of the game. The loss of any jersey will have to be
paid for by the team. Please advise if you require a replacement jersey as soon as possible after
making every effort to recover it. The cost of each club jersey is approximately $50.

Match Balls U12 to Seniors
Most games in the above age groups generally require match balls for game days. Match quality
balls cost from $40 to $80 each. All match balls are marked HPH Match. Should you chose to use
match quality balls for your game these are stored in the referees room. Take a maximum of 3 only
in the appropriate size for your game. Ensure they are pumped up prior to play. Ensure any ball the
leaves the playing area is quickly retrieved by substitute players or someone else and returned to
the field. Once play is finished return all match balls to the referee’s room or hand all balls to the
next coach or manager directly. Do not leave the balls laying on the field for the next game. Please
make every effort to retrieve lost balls as the cost to club adds up. Only marked match balls not
training balls should be returned to the referee’s room.
Please contact the club via the club email hawks@hphawksfc.com.au if any assistance is required with
any equipment
