Again AC CARINA FC enter a competitive squad into the Capital 3 competition. A fit and strong group of boys fill both a first and reserves team that will without a doubt proove to be a tough fixture for all opponents throughout the season.
Message from the Manager
AC Carina Capital 3 Squad Coach Tim Moore has high hopes for the 2015 campaign even despite it being still 2014.
The club has been hard at work to ensure that it can put in a sustained challenge in 2015 to finally fulfill the ambitions of the past two years. Tim Moore has been reinstated as squad coach from the second half of the 2014 campaign, and knows what it takes at Capital 3 level after guiding Kangaroo Point to the title in 2013. He has added UEFA 'B' License coach Shane O'Toole to the ranks, as well as re-signing Ian Proctor and has also brought in Dennis Finlay as a specialist Goalkeeping coach to ensure success.
Training has been going since early November, with between 25-40 players attending each session and loving the combination of fitness, skills and game situations that have been prepared. A rigorous pre-season schedule has been organised with Carina playing 3 games prior to Christmas, plus an additional 10 after the new year prior to the season starting.
The club hopes that this will be the right preparation to achieve the goal of Promotion to the Capital 2 league.
