FNQ football season kicked of on Saturda

The start of the FNQ football season kicked of on Saturday night for the Bulls, with mixed results for the Bulls.
The Bulls reserved grade played admirably, fought till the end, but went down 2-1, Despite dominated the last half hour of action, the Bulls were charging home but were unable to convert their dominance into points.
It looked as though the match was destined for a draw until Douglas scored close to the final whistle, with goal you would be lucky to see in the premier league.
Heads to the reserve grade boys, no better way to turn things around then a strong effort at training this week and smash the Fury this Sunday.
The premier mens game started at a frantic pace with both teams giving 100% to every tackle and passage of play, it was the Bulls though you settled the quickest and was unlucky not to go ahead with striker Steven Cater waking the post early on. But against the run of play, keeper Julian Madrid was hit while challenged the ball and the out-flying ball fell to the feet of the Douglas strikers to give the away team the lead.
going a goal behind only amplified the Bulls intensity, and deservedly drew level after a penalty from Josh Ruiz, then took the lead when Cater made no mistake from close range.
Beofre the break though, Douglas were presented a gift and made the sccore 2-2.
In the second stanza though, the Bulls class shone through and scored to unanswered goals to win the match 4-2 and head to Souths this Sunday full of confidence, but wary of a Fury team on the end of a 11-0 drubbing.
