New courts are coming
Dear Members,
It is with much pleasure and excitement that I am able to inform you, today jointly the Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Minister Catherine King announced that the application for RDA funding ($9m) had been approved.
On behalf of everyone at Werribee Basketball, I would like to thank and congratulate all involved at Wyndham City Council (WCC) for a fabulous and successful funding application.
What this means is that together with WCC and State Government funds the New Werribee Sports and Fitness Centre project will proceed in its current specification without the need for scaling or staging. The project is tender ready, so we expect that phase to commence almost immediately and hope towards the end of this year to see some commencement of works.
Once again congratulations to all involved and it has been a long time coming but we got there in the end.
