NEW PLAYERS

The club always welcomes new players. Initially we advise contacting the club registrar to advise of your interest and to see if we have spots available in the appropriate age group teams. The club also maintains a waiting list of players who are interested in joining.

Players are grouped into age groups of two years (U8’s, U10’s, U12’s etc.) and all age group competitions are split by gender except for the U8’s who can play as a mixed team. The club generally has teams with players who were born in the same year as their teammates. Please note that players are able to play in a higher age group team as long as it is not more than one level above their eligible age. For example a 10-year-old player is able to play in either U12s (their eligible age) or U14s (one level above their age).

If a player is transferring from another club then clearance approval and signoff of a transfer form is required. For transfers at Werribee Basketball Association please email the club on rego.tsbc@gmail.com

 

INSURANCE

Each registered player is covered by insurance taken out under Basketball Victoria. This covers both games and training. However, it is imperative that any injury incurred during the course of a match must be documented on the back of the score sheet and signed by the referee.
