The NCCUA MoGolf Day at Royal Toukley was a great day with MoBro's Blind Guy, Plucka and GG (Grant Godfrey) having a hit.
The clubs had obviously collected dust for some time as the swinging of the sticks produced some very large scores (some of the Sri Lankan batsmen might be envious to reach double figures) on the first couple of holes.
MoCaptain Welshy was along for the ride and was called upon frequently to be the 'stick biatch' (holder of the pin whilst putting) in between kick to kick on the fairways.
Highlights of the day included -
MoBro GG getting a birdie on a par 3 (he didn't even choke under the pressure and 2 putt).
MoBro Blind Guy's unusual drive ala Happy Gilmore (or lack thereof, he didn't even get the ball past the ladies tees on a number of occasions) as he walked up to address the ball (the address was return to sender).
MoBro Plucka playing every shot in the book, there was in built radar in the golf balls he was using with the balls finding water hazards and trees on a regular basis (Plucka always blames the equipment, never the person using the clubs) indicated a sinister plot to stop him taking out another NCCUA event this year. Let's not forget the Plucka's drop punt that took the Blind Guy out on the 13th when he was addressing his ball in the fairway (who said umpires can't play footy??)
And last and by no means least, the luckiest man of the day, MoCaptain Welshy. A bird flying overhead decided to liberate his bowels, all over Welshy head. Welshy always says that when shit happens, the depth does not vary, it's always above the head.
At the moment the scorecard is under lock and key with MoCaptain Welshy. The scrutineers will be taking a close look at the card to make sure everything is above board and once the WFA (weight for age - so Plucka should win hands down) handicaps are calculated and scores adjusted, a winner will be announced shortly.
Don''t forget that the weekly MoHappy Hour continues this Wednesday between 5 and 6pm at the Wickham Park Hotel.
Last Wednesday MoHappy Hour got interesting with MoCaptain Welshy bringing along a can of purple hair spray that he had purchased from Spot Light (obviously never goes to a hair dresser).
Each MoBro painted their Mo (or lack off) purple and even Chris "The Phantom" Rawling stopped by for a quick hello. That's when MoBro Blind Guy decided to spray him purple, but which part?? (see the photo for that answer). MoCaptain Welshy has warned all of this week's activity could involve clippers but all will be revealed on Wendesday night at Wicko during MoHappy Hour.
So far the NCCUA Movember team has raised around $700, great job MoBros and keep up the good work.
Photos of last weeks frivolity can be found in the `Photo Gallery' section of this website.
SEE YOU ALL AT THE WICKO THIS WEDNESDAY.
