Dear Members and Friends,
Progess is being made towards the contruction of a new club house at Don Small Oval.
In a recent email from council they have requested we start to develop plans and have given us a footprint of land at the north western end of the ground we can use. Any member of the club that would like to have input into the plans is more than welcome to submit suggested floors plans for consideration and intergration into the building. To assist, the maximum area allowed for the building to the edge of the eaves is 12m by20m. The building will have to be elevated and have disabled access as determined by Council.
To further progress the project we resolved to form a sub committe of persons possessing the appropriate building and project management skills to over site the project. Long time club member, coach and local electrical contrator Ray Warran has this morning confirmed he is keen to be part of that sub commitee.
We are now looking for a further 3 or 4 people to go on the sub committee to run the project. If applicants could reply by email to Secretary John Griffey by the 25th of October 2013 it would be appreciated as we would like to vatify the members of the sub committee at the next general meeting on the 27th of October and brief them as soon as possible following that. Please include some dot points on your experience or expertise.
We look forward to hearing from members on both items mentioned above.
