This is a news story not the match report.
The U15's showed just how good they can play today with a great whole of team effort. Right across the park the boys put their bodies on the line, their heads over the ball and pressured Bateau Bay at every turn. Having gone down twice in the past month to a fast improving Bateau Bay this game was always a 50 50 bet. But the team really stepped up and showed what they can do.
Club Life Member Paul Laksa commented after the game that he was particularly impressed by David Thistelthwaite who chased and pressured the Bateau Bay players all day and forced many skill errors as a result.
Jayden Noble continues to impress all with his speed to and with the ball and must be one of the best goal sneaks in the league.
Brenden Shaw and Aiden Leatherbarrow didn't stop running all day and show an uncanny ability to be in the right place at the right time to win the ball and get a quality disposal.
Blake Lester and Enjay Convy from the U13's also impressed with their commitment and composure in the pressure cooker environment of finals football.
Sadly key defender Carter Jones suffered a sholder injury in the 2nd quarter and couldn't take further part in the game. X-rays later showed that Carter suffered a season ending fractured scapula (shoulder blade). The thoughts and prayers of the entire club are with Carter for a speedy recovery.
