The Newcastle City Blues were able to record a comfortable victory over the Wyong Lakes Magpies in their Round 2 encounter at Hawkins Oval running out 118-point winners. Courtney Knight was in remarkable form booting an even dozen, along with Buckets who slotted home five majors in the absence of his fellow half forward Michael Kemp.
The Blues First Division side started their Premiership defence campaign well with a win over Lake Macquarie and the Under 18's who have been known slow starters to the year went down to a rapidly improving Lake Macquarie side at Teralba.
