The AFL Commission has approved one rule change for the 2007 season on the recommendation of the AFL Laws of the Game committee.
A Player makes Prohibited Contact with an opposition player if he bumps or makes forceful contact to an opponent from front on when that player has his head down over the ball.
There will also be stricter interpretations on hands in the back of an opponent in a marking contest and dangerous tackles such as by unnecessarily and dangerously driving an opponent into the ground with arms pinned.
Also, as mentioned on the BDAFL website, this season we will be able to kick the ball back into play immediately after a behind is scored rather than waiting for the goal umpire to signal a behind with his flags.
