Kris Stasek is first grade/senior club coach for 2012. Kris has very recently moved with his family to Newcastle from Melbourne. He is 29 yrs old and will be a playing coach with playing experience at a number of clubs in the Melbourne metropolitan area. Kris has already shown he will fit in well with our club culture and we are sure will guide the senior and junior players well in his first season with us.
Michael Deed and Craig Hewat are our joint reserve grade/assistant senior coaches for 2012. Deedy continues on from 2011 when he, as a playing coach, was successful along with Bruce MacQualter in supporting the first grade and guiding the reserve grade to the preliminary final. Craig Hewat returns to the club where he played senior football for a number of years and brings a wealth of experience in playing and rehab/fitness coaching, including with the Sydney Swans. Craig is an exciting addition to our coaching staff for 2012.
Mark Wheeler is our Under 18 coach for 2012. Mark is a well known current playing member and ex-junior of the club and we are very pleased with his appointment. He has been a member of the senior leadership group and we know he will bring the under 18 players together to develop them as footballers and form a formidible group for 2012.
Congratulations to all coaches and we look forward to their success in 2012.
