2021 Girls Development Program

Gippsland FC will deliver stand-alone Girls Development Programs (GDP) in 2021. The programs will be targeted towards players aged 12-16 and tailored towards accelerating skills development and better game understanding. The programs will be open to all players wishing to develop their football skills further. Gippsland FC are committed in providing all players, coaches and families an all-inclusive and friendly environment. The club is also aware the role it plays when supporting community club participation and player retention across the Gippsland region. Programs will also endeavour to offer players additional practice matches and available girls only tournaments where possible.

With the Women’s World Cup due to be held in Australia/New Zealand in 2023, Gippsland FC recognise the significance of establishing such opportunities and programs leading to this major event. The programs will be delivered by Gippsland FC coaching staff under the guidance and tutelage of club Technical Director Mark Cassar. Gippsland FC will also aim to work in collaboration with all football stakeholders, creating further opportunities ongoing.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
