Round 3 Wrap Up

Big week end of sport, with all teams doing the club proud.

U9’s away to Redbacks. The U9’s travelled down the road with an impressive display of goal scoring and team work. Well done guys, best game of the season with the team going from strength to strength.

U12’s Won 0-2 away to Alphington. First win of the season for the team; in a game they controlled for both halves. Players stuck to the game plan with a solid defence and team work to move the ball forward. Coach Steve was very pleased to see the effort put in training pay off.

U14’s Won 1-2 away to Thomastown. Great win away to a very strong team. Scoop will let the cat out the bag and mention no one from Thomastown scored a goal, but will say no more to save some blushes at training. Coach Kane was very pleased to see the team bounce back from last week.

U15’s Lost 5-6 at home to Thomastown. This was a cracker of a game that went down to the wire. Scoop was surprised the Westpac rescue helicopter didn’t turn up every time a Thomastown player hit the deck. Thomastown used the free kicks well and deserved the win. The U15’s are showing the need not be in awe of the more fancied clubs in division B.
