Welcome to the 2014 Junior/ MiniRoos Soccer Season

Welcome to the 2014 Junior/ MiniRoos Soccer Season

Girls & Boys Aged 4-13

Dear Player,

It’s time to find your football boots and brush the mud off them from last season or break out your shiny new ones for 2014.

We had great success last season and hope you are looking forward to this one!

You may have noticed our new club logo! This will be displayed on all new kits this year as well as other club clothing and merchandise.

Training starts in the first week of March! All games are on Sunday morning.

“MiniRoos” is for players that are turning 4-11 years of age in this calendar year of 2014.

Players aged 4-6 will do training/practice/games on a Thursday night.

There should be an U7’s team like last year but this will start at the beginning of the season depending on how many clubs register.

Once we know how many players have registered they will be put into teams of U8’s, U9’s, U10’s and U11’s. Like last year there may be more than one team in each age group. These age groups will train on Wednesday and Thursday nights. (It is not compulsory to attend both nights)

Juniors are our Under 12 and Under 13 teams. Training is on Tuesdays and Thursdays, players are strongly encouraged to attend both sessions.

What do you need to complete to be able to play at the club?

  • Fill out the Player/Parent Information form
  • Make payment of fees (fees will be available soon)
  • Order your club kit (shirt, shorts, socks)
  • Register with the FFV online

How to register online?

If you are returning from last year you need to find your FFA number and register online. (Please see additional info attached or follow instructions on FFV website)

New players need to create an FFA number first and then register. (Please see additional info attached of follow instructions on FFV website)

Only U12 and U13 players need to upload a photo for player ID cards. I would recommend any U11 players do this also in case you are needed to play up a level in the U12/13 team.

I’m sure there are things I have missed so feel free to ask me or other club representatives at the club for guidance. We have enough time before the start of season to get all of the registrations in order so don’t panic!

Please remember to check our website www.fcwilliamstown.com.au for information and also the Football Federation Victoria website www.ffv.com.au for more information.

Looking forward to catching up soon!

Kind Regards

Brett Blakemore
