Another great annual Camp
A big congratulations and thank you to all those who helped with this year's camp on 2 and 3 April at J J Holland Park and the Venny.
We had over 40 girls attend and they all worked very hard along with having fun. The highlight of each day was the closing big game on the full field featuring players from all ages playing with and against each other. And of course the various renditions of the club song... by now the new players should know it well.
This year the under 11s won the song contest with a nursery rhyme version, with honourable mentions to the u9s with their hip hop style and the older girls with their Broadway version.
Some special thanks to the club committee members and mums who helped especially Jacqui (general organiser and meditation leader) and Janet (games and musical director).
And a special shout out to the Melbourne Uni players who came and helped demonstrate skills and organise sessions - thank you Nams, Olivia, Mara, Kerryn and Kate (Richo).
And thanks also to the Venny for letting us use their wonderful community centre (with chooks).
