The future of Female Football at Watsonia heights
The future of Female Football at Watsonia heights is in safe hands with our Under 11 girls team having an outstanding season.
This team have taken on some of the local “heavy weight” teams and even matched it with or defeated these better known local teams.
They have kicked 53 goals in 13 matches and only conceded 13 kicked against them. They have a few “big matches” coming in the next few weeks and are eagerly awaiting the Challenge.
Pleasingly, they have had 4 new players join as “1st year players” adding to the teams enthusiasm and experience of playing levels.
10 out of the 14 players have scored goals this year. Their best match year to date (although it was a Loss) was an entertaining game against Bulleen Gold team with the crowd giving the girls a Rousing send off post match due to their spirited game.
Over the Summer months we plan for the team to have 2 teams registered to play Friday Night Futsal at Macleod and have 2 teams for the Total Girl Tournament in March 2014. Feel free to direct enquiries to Chris (team Manager) via the Clubs email address info@whjsc.org.au
