JUNIOR / SSF SEASON 2014 ASSESSMENT TRIALS

 

The Assessment Trials will be conducted and Assessed based on the following criteria.

1. Technical Skill Ability
2. Passing/Ball Control/Dribbling/Running with the ball/Control/Movement
3. Physical Aspects Speed/Agility/Strength/Endurance
4. Decision Making
5. Game day Situations.
6. Tactical Awareness
7. In Attack – With Possession/Without PossessionIn Defence
8. Ability to react under pressure
9. Team Base Concepts
10. Personality Traits
11. Attendence/Aggressivencess/Determination/Responsibility/Drive/Leadership/Self Confidence/Mental Toughness/Coachability

 

Players are to arrive and report to administration desk 30 mins prior to the first Assessment Trail session to complete Assessment Trial registration form.   All players will be given I.D numbers.   This number will be the player’s number throughout the assessment period.

No player will commence Assessment Trials unless form is completed.

 

Purpose of Assessment

To establish players correct level of ability and to group players in teams.

This will help players in their overall football development.

Timeline

• Assessments will run for a 5 weeks prior to Pre Season Training (please adhere to Assessment Timetable per age group).
• Once Assessment period is complete Pre Season Training will commence and Information will be processed with Coaches and Football department prior to team selection.
• Every player will be assessed and information documented. No player can be selected in a team without a player Assessment.
• Assessments will be conducted by Age groups coaches and appointed independent qualified assessors.
• Selections will be announced via Moreland Zebras website or via email between Friday 14th -  Monday 17^th February. Each Age group team will be stated with selected players I.D numbers.
• Once squads are announced a deposit of $  T.B.A     will be payable to Moreland Zebras to secure selection prior to registration.

Equipment

All Players must come prepared with correct training equipment. At All Times players must have boots and runners present at training. Shin guards and water bottle compulsory.

Squad Numbers

SSF – U8-U9     Squads of 10

         U10-U11 Squads of 12 or13 T.B.A

         Under 12-16   Squads of 20 – 18 Players and 2 Goal Keepers T.B.A 

 

Final Decision is made in conjunction with the Football Technical Director, Team Coaches and the Moreland Zebras Football Department
