New Coach for the Under 17 Boys Team
Brunswick Zebras FC is very pleased to announce that Josh Oakley has been appointed as coach of the Under 17 Boys team for season 2017.
Josh came to Zebras from Queensland last season and coached the Under 12 Wallabies Boys team with assistance from Will Pursey. Josh’s prior coaching experience was in Queensland where he coached at Premier League club Souths United, working over several years with junior boys teams from Under 12 to Under 15 as well as the club’s senior Women’s team.
Josh has strong credentials in football coaching and management and has completed the well-known FC11 course at University of Queensland.
He holds a Youth Licence and has also undertaken the AFC C Licence which he plans to complete later this year.
Josh is looking forward to resuming work with youth players and applying his coaching skills with a talented group of young players. His football philosophy is based on keeping the ball, with an emphasis on aggressive possession.
A fan of Brisbane Roar and Liverpool, his ambition is to one day be doing John Aloisi’s job.
Josh is currently a student in IT studies at Holmesglen TAFE and just to make sure he has no spare time is one of the Directors at Brunswick Zebras FC.
