Child Safe Standards
KYNETON SOCCER CLUB CHILD SAFE STANDARDS
Football is a sport built on cooperation between clubs and volunteers. The majority of time that trust is well placed, however unfortunately there may be occasions where an incident arises, and in such circumstances it is important for clubs to have the right processes in place.
Recent government inquiries into child safety in Australia have prompted changes to the law to provide children with greater protections.
As of 1 January 2017, in Victoria the Child Wellbeing and Safety Amendment Act 2015 requires sports clubs to meet “Child Safe Standards” (The Standards). The Standards are aimed at helping clubs to protect children from abuse.
Information sessions will be arranged in 2017 for all Junior Parents about the standards. The clubs statement will be visable and the policy, code of conduct and reporting processes are on the clubs website. In 2017 Genine Hook (Committee Member) has been appointed the Child Safety Officer for the club
Below are link to various documents on the clubs website relating to this.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
