KYNETON DISTRICT SOCCER CLUB REPORTS

Men
State League 5:-
Seniors:-
Kyneton District 11 (Callum Fletcher, Daniel Reeves 3, Ryan Cole 2, Shaun Dukic, Nick Morley, Mitch Shallcross)-Sporting Carlton 0
Kyneton were dominant from the outset with Fletcher and Cole scoring with volleys from the edge of the 18 yard box.  When Reeves added the third before half time, Rangers were never going to be caught.
Fletcher & Reeves completed hat-tricks, with first senior goals for Dukic and Shallcross along with Morley and a second for Cole completing an 11-0 rout.
Reserves:-
Kyneton District 6 (Luke Knight, Nathan Micallef, Ben Plant 2)-Sporting Carlton 2
A very even Rangers side completed this victory with some quality play through mid-field with Shaun Dukic, Mitch Shallcross & Micallef driving their team forward.  A very solid performance from a team that is gaining a lot of belief.
Metropolation League 5:-
Kyneton District 5 (Nik Plant 3, Luke Knight, Own Goal)-Craigieburn 6
An amazing football match with Rangers showing absolute guts and determination to do all but get a result with a last minute goal to Craigieburn sealing the points.  Kyneton were undermanned through injury, but fought magnificently and can be very proud of their effort.

Women:-
Kyneton District 1 (Kim Dickins)-Keilor Park 3
The Women's team took to the field at home against Keilor.  The first half saw Rangers have many passages of play, but were unable to find the back of the net going into half time 1-0 down.
The second half saw Keilor find the net twice, then Kyneton stood strong and kept possession working together and working hard.  The 90th minute had the sweeper of the Rangers take possession of the ball and belted it into the back of the net going down 3-1.

Juniors:-
Under 18:-
Kyneton District 1 (Shaun Dukic)-Spring Hills 6
Kyneton Under 18’s took to the field against Spring Hills for their first game and although not having a lot of time together started well and the match was evenly played till Spring Hills scored midway through the half. Having taken the lead they went up a gear and had another goal before Kyneton pulled one back through Shaun Dukic. Spring Hills class and finishing showed out in the end as they scored a further 4 goals to take the points. Final Score Spring Hills 6 Kyneton 1.
Girls 15-16:-
Kyneton District 1 (Angeleah Hale)-Werribee City 12
Kyneton’s Under 15/16 Girls came up against Werribee City in their match for the season at home. They matched their opposition early and took the lead 1 nil through the first gamer Angeleah Hale. Werribee then sprung into action scoring 5 before the break. The young Kyneton girls battled hard but were outplayed by their more experienced opponents eventually going down 12 goals to 1.
