Sportsmanship Rewarded

Showing great sportsmanship has it rewards with the nomination and acceptance of Rhys Sartori in the ME Bank Sportsmanship awards.   Carrying a injured Under 16 player from the field (from the opposition team) was captured in a photo that has made a number of papers and ended with his nomiantion for the award being accepted. Everyone at the club congratulates Rhys on the aachievement and wishes him the best in the final.

His mothers facebook post goes:

Ok now its official i can let you all know Rhys had been nominated for a fair players award for helping a injured opposition player by carrying him off the pitch during a U/16 Kyneton soccer game a picture was taken and it made 3 papers will try and load picture WELL there are 3 awards given out per year the Kyneton soccer club gets $200 and Rhys has won $500 and the soccer club is in the running to win a huge $10,000 and Rhys $1.000 i am so proud of Rhys he is an amazing caring young man
