Winning the clubs first senior championship for 16 years, the team started the season with a loss, before putting together 6 wins in a row. The second half of the season with key injuries the team became a defensive unit that never really thumped anyone, doing effort to win games and keep their lead at the top of the league, which they took in round 5 and never looked back.

The lads continue to celebrate hard.

A respectable season from the 2nds, winning 10 of 17 games. The team was never stable as players came in and out to cover shortages and injuries. In 17 games for the season 37 different men’s players contributed. Who knows how a stable squad would have performed.

With an average age below 21, this young group of women enjoyed their soccer in season 2012. Always a couple of players short for the season, they never gave up playing and always contributed 100% to achieve the best results they could make for the season.

Both teams performed well and did the club proud. The Blue team had a memorable win over the champions Eaglehawk in the second half of the season, whilst the Maroon team got better every week they ran onto the park, culminating with a win over the other Kyneton team in the last round of the season. Both teams made the semi-finals of the lightning cup and the Blue team also made the Semi Finals of the Knock Out Cup.

The team start the season winning the Pre-season Lightning cup.   They start their championship season slowly, losing to runners up Moama in Round 2, however as the season went on, their started to gel together, eventually taking the championship easily. There were un-lucky in their attempt to win the treble, losing the knock out cup final to Moama. An outstanding year.

A great year from this team. At the start of the season the club was forced due to weight of numbers to have two Under 12 teams. It was decided to put the older under 12’s into this team (whilst also catering for everyone’s requests). They performed well eventually finishing runners up in the competition. They also made the semi-finals of the Knock Out Competition.

A team made up of players (many of whom will play 50 games in the Under 12’s), this team never once gave up. Their only point for the season was like winning the world cup.   The enjoyment the team got from playing was what the game is all about and they all will only get better as they get older. Their coach was always there for them and they bounded into a team that played for enjoyment. Well done kids.
