All Girls Team at Kyneton
KYNETON TO ENTER FIRST ALL GIRLS SOCCER TEAM
Kyneton Soccer club has provided great playing opportunities for the community for nearly 40 years, entering teams for Junior and Seniors and running small sided programs for the younger participants.
In season 2012 the club is looking to expand opportunities for girls to play the sport. Girls have always been able to play in the mixed Bendigo competition; however this year they are looking to enter their first “all girls” team in the Metropolitan Melbourne Under 15/16 competition.
The club has nominated a coach and invites all girls from 12 – 16 years of age to come along and join in the great game. The increase in girls participating in the sport warrants the club expanding the opportunities it provides to play the game.
Entry into the competition is dependent on the participation the club receives, however Coach Kathleen Reeves working hard to get girls wanting to play to come along and see if they like the sport.
Training is on Tuesday Nights from 5.30pm at the Clubs home ground of Barkly Square, corner of Beauchamps and Wedge Sts Kyneton. Come along and join in. For more details Kathleen can be contacted on 0400486761.
The club also provides opportunities for girls and women over 16. We field a Senior Womens team which trains on Tuesday’s and Thursday from 7.00pm. More details are available on the club website www.knetonsoccer.org.au
