Surf Coast Playing in State League!

Due to the new FFV Metro League Structure, Surf Coast are playing in State League 4 for season 2013 with 6 games being derby matches against Bell Park, Corio and Geelong Rangers!

The new league structure means that leagues formerly known as Provisional and Metropolitan leagues. The league structure will consist of State League One to Five, with leagues below State league Three being divided geographically into North, East South and West.

Promotion & Relegation

For 2013 All promotions and relegations based on final 2012 league standings were processed prior to the implementation of the new structure.

For 2014 & Beyond Promotion from State League Three to Two, and State League Five to Four will continue as a “Two up, Two down” system. Promotion from State League Two to One will continue in its current form of champions being directly promoted and runners up plus tenth place

State League Champions Series

2013 will see the inaugural State League Champions series take place in Victoria. The champion of each league from State League Two and below will play a finals series against the champions of other regions in their division as follows

State League Four North v West & South v East, with winners meeting in a final -

This will mean teams can compete to be the best team in their division in Victoria.

When will the fixtures be published?

Fixtures will be released for State League on Monday 21st January.
