Head Coach

Please read below for information on Northern Stars Head Coach for the 2012-13 season - Andrew Harvey.

Andrew Harvey is an experienced and successful military equipment engineering manager with strong proven, communication and management skills. 

 

Football Playing / Coaching Experience:

Andrew has played in various British Army football teams my entire military career, in 2001 he created a new youth Football Club, Fallingbostel Utd, with minimal funding or resources on a British Army base in Germany.   Concurrently to this, he managed the Adult Army football team of 2 Battalion Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers based in Germany and guided them to the semi-finals of the Army Cup 2002.   By 2003 he was nominated as Chairman of Fallingbostel Utd Football Club which had grown to having around 80 players in various age groups playing in the German youth league.

In 2002 he attended and passed an English Football Association Referees course and was subsequently used as a Referee in various league and cup games throughout Germany officiating over Adult British Army games at various levels of eleven and six aside.

In May 2006 he attended and passed an English Football Association level one football coach course in the United Kingdom.   In July 2006 he attended an English Football Association level two football coach course, completed all of the training prior to immigrating to Australia.

In October 2009 he completed the FFV Senior Licence.   In September 2010 he was appointed as under 13 coach for the Northern Allstars in the Victorian Champions League.   He completed the C Licence that year. In March 2011 he was appointed as the Senior Women’s coach at Whittlesea Ranges.   In September 2011 he was appointed as under 17 Girls coach for the Northern Allstars.   He will conduct the B Licence course in August.

Andrew fully supports the FFA National Curriculum so much so that he uses it as the medium to coach my current winter club team.
