The Southern Blue Tongues Football Club consists of various age group teams’ that play as representative squads of the Southern Zone regional area in the Victorian Champions League as defined by the FFV.

The Southern Blue Tongues FC is a club that will compete in the Football Federation Victoria (FFV) Champions League competition.  The establishment of the Victorian Champions League has been driven by the FFV as part of it's Strategic Direction of amongst other things Talent Identification and providing a pathway for players into Victorian State and other representative teams.

The administration side of the zone is made up of volunteers from “winter” clubs who embraced the project and nominated the volunteers to set up and get the zone running for season 2008 /09 and now the current Victorian Champions League. 

The Southern Blue Tongues are managed by a steering commitee led by FFV Zone Rep Pam Southerington. The football side of the zone is made up of the Head Coach, Team Coaches and Assistant Coaches.

The Zone is guided in its decision making by Football Federation Victorian Champions League Rules of Competition as published on their website. Any decisions that fall outside of the document are made by the zone areas responsible.

The Victorian Champions League is a regional representative competition comprising 8 Melbourne Metro Zones and 4 Regional Country Victoria Zones.  The representative teams will be in the following age groups (age as at 2012):
Under 13 Boys
Under 13 Girls                
Under 14 Boys
Under 15 Girls                      
Under 15 Boys
Under 17 Girls
Under 17 Boys

The Southern Zone encompasses FFV clubs and their players in the Cities of Casey, Dandenong, Frankston and Mornington Peninsula.

The FFV Victorian Champions League is the Talented Development Pathway for players, coaches and referees, combining the best from each region to showcase their talents and provide greater opportunities for advancement.
