2022 Girls Pre-Season Development Program

Get ready for WMFC’s Girls Preseason Development Program.  The program:

  • is open to players registered to play for WMFC in the Girls Competition (Under 8/9s up to Under 18s) in 2022- follow the instructions here to register to play with the club for the winter season

  • will commence on 21 February for 4 weeks, with the option of one or two sessions each week, on Monday and Wednesday at Waramanga Ovals (in front of Stromlo High School) for 4 weeks.

The Monday session will be run by Coerver Canberraand is an excellent opportunity for new and existing players to develop individual skills. While places in the Monday sessions will be subsidised by WMFC, there is a nominal cost (exact amount to be confirmed) for players- but no more than $50 in total for the 4 sessions.  To ensure that the cost remains low, places will be limited.

The Wednesday sessions, commencing on 23 February and run by WMFC coaches, will include skills development through drills and small sided games (no cost for this part of the program).

Grading will be part of the Wednesday sessions, please note, players not attending the Monday Coerver session will not be disadvantaged in grading.  Attending as many Wednesday sessions as possible will assist us to grade players.

For more information and a link to register for the Coerver program, please complete this expression of interest Google form ASAP to let us know if you are interested in one or both sessions, and if you want to participate in grading.  All players participating in the preseason program must be registered. EOIs for the Monday Coerver sessions close COB 14 February 2022- Places are limited and where necessary, preference may be given to previous WMFC players.  If you have questions in the meantime you can email   Jane and Tash at  junior.girls@wmfc.org.au
