The FFA has suspended all grassroots football activities from 18 March to 14 April

FFA - Suspension of grassroots football activity (17 March)

Message from the Capital Football CEO (17 March)

List of football activities suspended until 14 April 2020 (18 March)

What does this mean for WMFC?

With the club about to enter the final week of registrations for the 2020 season, we have sought advice from our governing bodies as to the financial impact for the club and our members if the season were to be further shortened or not go ahead.

In light of the unprecedented situation, the club has taken the following interim steps until we receive advice from our governing bodies:

  • Registrations via PlayFootball have been suspended
  • Players registered with payment plans do not need to make final payments until further advised

Another update will be issued in coming days about how WMFC intends to continue planning for the 2020 season.

The situation is rapidly evolving, and we would like to thank everyone for their understanding and patience.

The best interests and wellbeing of our WMFC football family are at the forefront of our mind at this very difficult time.

That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
