All ACT sports grounds closed 22nd/23rd July

Due to ground closures across the ACT, weekend games have been cancelled. Capital Football have issued the following notice:

Capital Football has just been informed that Active Canberra, ADFA, ANU South and Braidwood have closed grounds this weekend – Saturday 23 / Sunday 24 July.

Any Men’s State League and Masters matches scheduled on these fields will not being going ahead.

Any Men’s State League or Masters matches scheduled at Cooma, Goulburn, Lambert Park, Wright Park (Upper), Duncan, High Street, Riverside Stadium, Yass, Gundaroo, ANU Willows, Nicholls 101 / 102 (Synthetic) Hawker Football Centre (Synthetic) and AIS Synthetic will still go ahead as scheduled.

If you are scheduled to play on one of the above open fields, it is suggested to call the team contact 2 hours prior to the match to confirm that fields are open and matches are going ahead as scheduled.

All Women’s State League and Masters matches – both in Canberra and in regional areas will not be going ahead.

More information regarding the status of these matches will be communicated next week.
