Premier League Licence
Weston Molonglo Football Club is proud to announce that the joint Premier League bid with Woden Valley for a full licence has been granted as a one year provisional one.
I would like to thank all who worked hard on the submission for their efforts and late nights.
The PL teams will be playing under a new name to reflect their combined club makeup. Community teams will remain under the current club name but they will have a high performance pathway available to them.
A tentative playing name of Woden Weston FC and combined logo has been created by the PL working group. Unfortunately his was not able to be socialised prior to the announcement so it was made as basic and neutral as possible. We will be looking to open up the naming and logo to open consultation within the three clubs as we move forward. What we need is a catchy name that covers the geographic area that we are in without showing any bias. Start giving it some thought.
