Robbie Graham returns to Weston

Weston Molonglo FC is delighted to announce that Robbie Graham will be rejoining the Club in 2014 as Men’s Premier League Under 16 coach. Robbie’s coaching CV is extensive, including:

  • 2010-2012 Head Coach at Canberra FC, where he won 2 Federation Cups, 2 League Championships, a Club Championship, 2 Grand Finals, Prestigious Invitational Gold Coast Cup, and a trial match against Central Coast Mariners
  • 2013 Canberra Olympic Technical Director and U20 Coach
  • ACT Rockets Coach for Seniors and U20 against Central Coast Mariners and Newcastle Jets
  • ACT U15 and U16 Coach at Nationals
  • ACTAS Assistant Coach for four seasons

Robbie also has an extensive history with WMFC, as a former Weston Creek Men’s Premier League player and the last ever Head Coach of a Weston Men’s Premier League side.

“This really is a homecoming for Robbie and the Club is very pleased to welcome him back,” said Senior Chair, Ben Sakker Kelly.

“Robbie has demonstrated over many years that he is an excellent promoter and developer of young talent in the ACT. It is clear that he shares our philosophy of providing such players with opportunities. We hope his return to the Club will signal another step on the path to regaining our former status as a full Men’s Premier League Club.”

Robbie’s appointment solidifies an already impressive roster of C License or higher qualified coaches, including Graeme Plath as Men’s Head Coach, Pat Mills as Women’s Head Coach, Steve Rohan-Jones as Technical Director and Richard Jalland as Goalkeeping Coach. All NPL and WPL Coaches at the Club will be C License qualified by early 2014.

Players interested in trialling for the Men's Premier League U16 team in 2014 should contact Robbie ASAP at PL16@wmfc.org.au.
