The Morningside Supercats compete in the Brisbane competition as part of AFL Masters Queensland and has done so since formation in 2006. The AFL Masters competition formerly known as "Super Rules" is a competition for over 35's enjoying football for fun in a social but competitive and professional environment.
The Morningside Supercats are affiliated with the Morningside Panthers AFC and host games at Jack Esplen Oval, Hawthorne. Originating from a group of parents of junior players, the Supercats have established themselves as a strong but fair competitor within the competition.
The tradition of Supercats players being fathers of Morningside junior players continues along with former AFLQ and AFL players, through to those who have never played the game but always wanted to. The focus remains on fun, fitness, participation and friendship.
Currently the team fields one team the Supers Over 35s. Games are played on a fortnightly basis with 12 games in the season.
