January:
The 2nd annual Australia Day party has Victoria Bitter beer and is hosted at the Kabin nightclub with 190 in attendance.
February:
Club President Greg Everett is appointed coach for 2006.
March:
Training starts at the "Hanger" numbers are strong and lots of new Canadians and Aussies join the club.
April:
Our new recruits arrive from around the world and the training continues at the "Hanger". With a playing list of over 30 the club staff will need to manage the list well. The club appoints Laura Byers as Medical Coordinator and welcomes Dr Eto, Christine Hamilton and Aimee Bryl to it's medical staff. Our 2nd Annual Anzac Day party goes off well with 150 people enjoying Victoria Bitter and Bundaberg Rum.
May:
Practise match against new OAFL club the Central Blues.
June:
The club records 4 straight wins before lossing their first game of the year. The month of June nis also the clubs 1st annual trip to play the Milwaukkee Bombers. A win oof the ground at the bars but a loss on it with injuries to key players Manny Matata and Captain Dave Tumber.
July-August:
8 wins on the trot and the playoff's looming. We beat arch enemy the Toronto Dingo's for the 1st and 2nd time after never beating them before. Strong numbers at training with weekly number of 20-28 players.
September:
1, 2, 3 strikes and your out as the club losses both finals to finish 3rd on the ladder with some questions about finals footy to be answered in the future. The Toronto eagles win their 10th OAFL Premiership while the 'roos will have to wait until their 5th season to have a crack at the OAFL title. 20 players attend the OAFL Best & fairest night and watch as Rover Matt saavge runs away with the OAFL best & fairest award with 20 votes. Players Matt Savage, Halrey Bateup, Justin Rigney, Adam Bradley and coach Greg Everett are selected to the 2006 OAFL All Star team. Greg Everett also wins 2006 OAFL umpire of the year.
October:
The club Best and Fairest is held at the Old Mill hotel and resturaunt and has 60 people in attendence. Matt Savage wins the OAFL and Club double Best and fairest with Justin Rigney runner up. Justin Rigney also wins the leading goalkicker with 24 goals for the year. The boys head to Montreal for the annual season footy trip with 21 players having a good time.
November:
The holds it 4th annual Annual General Meetings with a strong return of committee and looks to build on the first 4 years. Sub committee's of Recruitment, Social events and Community Partnerships are set up to stregthen the club in these areas. The club has increased numbers from Australian players coming in 2007.
