New blood leads the charge as Dingos defeat the Demons

Saturday’s round two match against the High Park Demons was a much drier affair than round one with conditions perfect for footy at Colonel Samuel Smith Park despite a healthy layer of long grass underfoot.

The Dingos' 2019 social calendar kicked off on Saturday as the team headed to the Ricoh Coliseum to watch the Toronto Marlies take on the Rochester Americans and crowd favorite Scott "Wedgie" Wedgewood. This past Saturday, the Toronto Dingos gathered to remember their friend and teammate, Tim Shaw, and to play the first annual Memorial Cup in his honour. Under heavy rains, the Dingos clashed with the Toronto Rebels in a tough affair, ultimately falling to the Rebels as both teams eye Finals.

The Toronto Dingos made the trek across the 401 to face the Grand River Gargoyles in a huge match for both clubs with important playoff implications. Both teams needed a victory to cement their finals hopes as each club was neck in neck on the ladder for the final few spots. After a watermain break at Humber South postponed the Toronto Dingos and High Park Demons match on Saturday, both clubs were keen to get at it on Wednesday evening for the make-up game. The weather was gray all day, and rain was in the forecast, but it held off for the match allowing the two clubs to play in great conditions.

On Sunday March 11th, The Toronto Dingos marched in the St Patrick's Day Parade for the third year in a row. Starting a week early, The Parade was attended by a large number of Torontoians who lined the route from Bloor, to Yonge and Queen street glad in green, white and gold.

In Memoriam: Tim Shaw (1971-2018)

Tim Shaw, the Toronto Dingos hard-hitting half back flanker, former president and Life Member, who played in all four of the club’s premierships, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018.
During his 122 games spanning almost two decades with the Toronto Dingos Football Club, Shawy (as he was affectionately known as), embodied the tradition, loyalty and pride associated with the Dingos.

From the opening ball-up at Humber College South the Rebels quickly found their stride rushing out to a 6.2-38 to 0.2-2 lead in the first quarter.

London Pre-season Camp in Review and 2017 Leaders

The Dingos headed to London for their fourth annual pre-season camp on April 22nd and 23rd. In what has is now a club staple and a sure sign that the AFL Ontario season is just around the corner.
Over 20 players made the trip this year for an extended training session including fitness work, skills drills, and team building activities capped off by a scrimmage.
