The OAFL regular season came to a controversial end as Round 14 was completely cancelled due to severe weather ruining the oval at Humber South. Not wishing to damage both the ground for Finals and the league's relationship with the City, the OAFL Exec made the difficult decision to cancel the final round of the regular season. Unfortunately, a number of Dingos did not get this message until they arrived at the ground on Saturday morning (with Brendan "the Murph" Murphy driving all the way in from Sudbury) to find water fowl swimming in the back pocket at one end of the ground. Luckily, one of the Dingos who failed to receive the message was Jake Steinberg, owner & operator of Honest Jake's Beer Emporium who brought along his wares. So the morning was not a complete waste, as around 15 Dingos players and friends hung out in the HS parking lot, discussing footy, the upcoming footy trip (to Montreal!), and contributed to Jake's Beer Fund.
With the final round of the regular season cancelled, the current standings have the Dingos in 5th place and they will now travel to Hamilton to take on the hardhitting Wildcats next week. Game will be Saturday, September 15th at 1:30pm
